Strange Highways

This week Terry and Paul don't drink the obviously suspicious wine as they meet Major Ivan Kuchenko, an escaped political prisoner trying to get overseas to freedom. What stands in his way though is his former torturer, 3 hours, and bomb planted somewhere in his hotel room...

This week Terry and Paul are looking for Jake's Special Cheese when they meet Mr. Jonathan West, a down on his luck ventriloquist, and his dummy, Caesar. Jonathan is looking for his big break while Caesar has plans of his own...

They talk about Romero as a director and influence and how this work for hire PSA about elder abuse/neglect still is steeped in social commentary and his visual style. It's a dark ride, but we all enter the Amusement Park eventually...

This week Terry and Paul get real sweaty as they head to an unnamed town that has scheduled a questionable execution for the morning. The people gathered there to witness the hanging wonder why the sun hasn't risen as the sky stays as black as midnight... 

This week Terry and Paul head down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and meet Mr. Jason Foster, a man at death's door who isn't quite ready to walk through it. Jason has assembled his ungrateful family for one last meal and for a party involving oddly specific masks...  

This week Terry and Paul just want to drink beer and watch wrestling and not meet Mr. and Mrs. Britt. Joe is a crabby cab driver and Phyllis is the thankless wife who thinks Joe is having an affair. When Joe sits down to watch his repaired television and the recently discovered Channel 10, he starts to see his past cheating and possible future sins... 

This week Terry and Paul try to get some Cognac for their mid day coffee and meet Mr. Jordan Herrick, a reporter that has questions for the enigmatic actress Pamela Morris about her lengthy film career. Jordan has suspicions that Ms. Morris is older than she lets on and Pamela has her eyes set on Mr. Herrick and what he can provide... 

This week Terry and Paul are joined again by friend of the show and  a living man, Richard, as they all travel back to Civil War to meet Mr. Peyton Farquhar, a man sentenced to death for tampering with a Union bridge. All he wants to do is go home to his wife and family. When his noose breaks, he gets that chance... 

This week Terry and Paul head out on horseback and meet Mrs. Anne Henderson, a recently engaged 18 year old who has a life of leisure ahead of her. Without warning, she is suddenly chased by a dark figure on a black horse that seems intent on killing her...
